Brian joined the Ventura Port District in 2015, was promoted to Deputy General Manager and named General Manager in May 2019. The Ventura Port District owns and operates Ventura Harbor with a diversified portfolio of real estate holdings including Ventura Harbor Village, hotels, marinas, boatyards, commercial fishing and rental housing.

Brian has over three decades of local government and special district experience in commercial revitalization, economic development, real estate and public agency operations, and has worked extensively as a key liaison between the public and private sectors. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Brian also serves on the Executive Boards of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce; Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau; and Ventura County Special Districts Association.

He and wife, Arlene, an educational counselor with CSUCI’s School of Education are longtime Ventura County residents, where they raised three children.
