Recreation & Park Districts

Independent Recreation and park districts contribute to the quality of life by designing, developng, operating and maintaining park facilities that include golf courses, community buildings, gymnasiums, parks, ball diamonds, soccer fields, biking, hiking and jogging trails, equestrian centers and trails, and open space areas. These public agencies also offer year-round recreation programs.

Conjeo Recreation and Park District

The Conjeo Recreation and Park District, an independent special district, was formed in January 1963. The formation of the District was approved by 80 percent of the voters.

Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District

The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District is located in and around the city of Camarillo, approximately 10 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. The District was formed in 1962 under the State of Public Resources Code of California.
